This 1950s ranch-style home is especially close to Lexie’s heart as it is her childhood home. Over 30 years ago, her parents intentionally chose this unassuming property for its quiet character and timeless simplicity. Years later, it became the first project she took on after leaving design firms in 2015 to start her own practice, marking the true beginning of her independent career.

From the outset, it felt essential that the remodel honor the home’s traditional roots rather than fully modernize it. The goal has always been refinement, not reinvention. The design carefully preserves the pieces that carry history, including vintage furnishings, heirloom artwork, and collected objects layered alongside custom elements and modern additions. A vintage bed, side table, and lamp anchor one space, complemented by a contemporary rug and bespoke drapery. Throughout the home, eclectic collections, antiques, modern pieces, and multi-generational artwork coexist in a way that feels personal and enduring.

The renovation has unfolded in chapters, with a major transformation in 2016 followed by another in 2024. Each phase builds upon the last, thoughtfully blending modern, traditional, and inherited elements while staying true to the character that first made this house a home.
